The face is then bandaged and the patient is monitored by the surgeon afterwards. Recovery time from a facelift is often a couple of weeks and during this period bruising can occur.During recovery it is recommended that patients steer clear of alcoholic beverages, hot tubs, and steam baths. Limited sun exposure post surgery is also recommended.
