Breast augmentation is a popular procedure using implants to create a larger and fuller breast size. Breast augmentation can not only enhance your breast size, it can also balance your breasts, improve cleavage, and make you feel much more confident! Charlotte Ann Rhee, MD offers both silicone and saline implants for augmentation. She also uses a variety of techniques for implantation including in the armpit, in the crease under the breast, and through the areola. The types of implants, technique, placement, and size of your breasts will be discussed thoroughly during your consultation with Dr. Rhee.
“The entire procedure was a wonderful experience. Both Dr. Rhee and her staff could not have been kinder, yet always left me feeling I was securely cared for by real professionals. My breasts look better than I imagined they would. Thank you Dr. Rhee.”
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a cosmetic procedure to lift up the breast for a more youthful shape. If you have noticed that your breasts have drooped and sagged after pregnancy, weight loss, or breastfeeding, mastopexy surgery may be right for you! A breast lift is done by removing excess skin and tightening the tissues around the breast. As with breast augmentation, there are different techniques of incisions Dr. Rhee can use to lift the breast and minimalize scars. One of the incisions Dr. Rhee specializes in is the "lejour vertical incision" or "lollipop incision."
Lejour Vertical Mastopexy
Lejour vertical mastopexy is also known as the lollipop procedure. This vertical incision technique for a breast lift typically results in shapelier breasts and smaller scars than traditional breast lift surgery. Incisions extend around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease, making a lollipop pattern. This incision type is ideal for women who do not need extensive tissue removal.
Breast reduction, or reduction mammaplasty, is for those looking to reduce the size of their breasts. Many women that have large pendulous breasts suffer from medical problems such as back pain. Large breasts can also get in the way of physical activities and can make weight loss difficult. Breast reduction removes excess fat, tissue, and skin to create smaller breasts that are in better proportion with the rest of your body. Charlotte Ann Rhee MD can use the lejour or lollipop incision for breast reduction surgery as well for better results and less scarring.
"Dr. Rhee and her staff are excellent. I wish I came here 10 years ago. They are so knowledgeable and answer all your questions thoroughly. Also I cannot believe how wonderful I feel. I would do it again and recommend every women whom needs a breast reduction to come in."
Breast reconstruction is performed on women who have lost one or both breasts due to mastectomy. The goal of breast reconstruction is to create a breast that looks as close to a natural breast as possible. Dr. Rhee uses two types of techniques for reconstruction: implants and skin flaps/tissues. Both of these techniques are followed by nipple and areola reconstruction. Charlotte Ann Rhee MD also offers secondary breast reconstruction to correct any abnormalities or deformities of the flap/implant, to recreate the nipple, or further enhance the breast.
Male Breast Reduction
Women aren't the only ones that undergo breast reduction surgery. Many men (40-60%) suffer from gynecomastia or the development of male breasts. Men with large breasts may be both physically and emotionally uncomfortable with their bodies. Dr. Rhee performs breast reduction for men to help restore their confidence and male physique.
